Where did this come from? I had a perfectly written blog post all set for today. It was a masterpiece—well, at least in my mind. And when I went to do some final edits, it was mysteriously missing! Gone. Vanished. Like it packed its bags and moved to another dimension. What are the odds?

Let me point out... I don’t believe in superstitions. Black cats? Pfft, cute pets! Walking under ladders? Just a spatial awareness challenge. Breaking mirrors? Probably more about bad craftsmanship than bad luck. But I’ll admit, today—of all days—has made me rethink a few things.

Friday the 13th strikes again! And it’s not even October! I could almost hear the Twilight Zone music playing when I realized my blog had ghosted me. It was probably running off to join the other victims of Friday the 13th: spilled salt, lost socks, and my once carefully thought-out sentences.

Some people believe that Friday the 13th is cursed, that strange things are bound to happen. But come on, how unlucky can it be? I’ve walked into many open houses on this day and nothing strange happened. Well, except for that one time I couldn’t find the light switch, put my keys down, and then couldn't find them for 45 minutes, AFTER OPEN HOUSE… but hey, that’s just modern design!

So what’s the moral of the story here? Maybe Friday the 13th is just another day in the calendar, no more powerful than any other. Or maybe—just maybe—it’s a subtle reminder that even the most rational of us (hello!) can experience a little bit of the strange and unexplained.

Either way, I’m chalking this up to an “Internet glitch” and moving on. But don’t worry, the next blog post will be written in stone—or at least backed up in three different places. Lesson learned!
